Re-expressing Data

How comfortable are with notes and the chapter? Of course you should be reading the chapter, but do you get the big idea of making data linear to use regression?

I understand it pretty well. But I would like time to review everything from the chapter.

I totally agree with brian. Review would be useful.

I understand the general concept of making data linear to fit regression. I get how to re-express the data in order to make it fit a more linear pattern. I still think that I could use a little clarification, and I agree that chapter review would be helpful.

i understand the general idea of re-expressing data to make it linear. but i think practice will make it easier to identify what method to use for what problem..

I understand the idea of making the data linear to fit the regression but sometimes i just get a little confused on which method(s)to use..Reviewing the chapter would definitely be helpful..=)

I understand how to re-express the data and to make it linear, but I do not understand what to do with the model equation after re-expressing it. For example, for number 31,b i don't get how to plug it in with the log and to get the answer in the back of the book.

I feel like I understand the basic concepts of the unit but like the others I feel review would be beneficial.

I understand how to make the data more linear using the machine. I also agree with most on not knowing which technique to use for a specific problem. The more examples and practice the better. Rock on!!!

im postin:) yayy that means im onn:) but i need to review. go over all that! then i should be g0000d! excellent

uumm, yes I did tell Kelsey to post....But I feel alright with this re-expressing data idea. I'm getting lost on my calculator though. It has a mind of it's own and Warda knows it! :O

o abbie did remind me. ha im postin again so it makes up fer the times i din buhahaha and o i have the same calc as you abbie.

Yes you do kelsey. but mine is older and wiser. plus Mr. Quinn likes me better. I got kicked outta class less than you freshmen year.

hmmm wait i got kicked out? o yes abbie well you were the main reason i got kicked out. :/ oo btw i love mathhh ;)

Everthing seems to be making sense but there some things i need a little more info on. The review should answer my questions. The notes are very helpful when i dont understand the book

Yeah, I get the idea of making linear so it will fit a regression by re-expressing it so it's more linear, but when to use what is still a little fuzzy. As everyone said, review would be great! :)

Yes, I am very familiar with the chapter. It is a little bit confusing, though.

i grasp the main concept but like everyone said a review and some practice test problems would help.

I am fairly confident that i understand the concept of making data linear to the regression, however i am still confused as to what methods should be used with certain sets of data. Hopefully with more practice i can only get better, but we'll see.
